Atlanta picks Shaw/AIM JV for project support
Shaw-AIM, JV, a joint venture of Shaw Environmental Inc. and AIM Partners PLC, has won a contract from the city of Atlanta to provide integrated engineering and construction management services for various city departments. Shaw-AIM, JV was one of six companies selected under this contract, which has a potential shared value of over $200 million in professional fees. The contract will support the city's architectural and engineering needs across a wide range of projects, including the recently announced $3.3 billion sewer rehabilitation project, an accelerated project designed to improve water quality in the city's streams and the Chattahoochee and South Rivers.
Shaw-AIM, JV is the prime contractor in a teaming arrangement with Applied Engineering & Science, Inc.; Bench Mark Management, LLC; Cheeks/Hornbein Architects; Environmental Resource Services; Neil Engineering; Precision Engineering & Surveying, Inc.; The Mosby Law Group; and Washington Group International Inc. The team is a diverse group of highly-qualified companies including significant Minority-Business Enterprise and Female-Business Enterprise participation. Shaw Environmental Inc. is a subsidiary of Baton Rouge, La.-based The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE: SGR).
